Privacy Policy

Punto Volley («Punto», «the app», «we») is an app to organize beach volleyball sessions and indoor volleyball events with balanced rotations and teams. This policy explains what data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have. It applies to the web app (puntovolleyball.app) and the mobile app.

• Beach volleyball: no account required. The host is identified by a token generated and stored on their own device. We store the player names (or nicknames) the host enters and the session data (rounds, matches, scores).
• Indoor volleyball: hosts sign in with Google, Apple (Sign in with Apple) or with email and password. From Google and Apple we receive your name and email address (and profile picture in Google's case) to create your account. With Apple you can choose to hide your real email through its private relay service («Hide My Email»), in which case we only receive a relay address. Players can join anonymously. We store data about communities, events, registrations (RSVP), teams and results, along with the name shown when participating.
• Usage data: anonymous, aggregated browsing metrics through a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Umami), which uses no tracking cookies and does not identify individuals.
• Push notifications (mobile app): if you enable them, a device notification identifier so we can send you reminders about your sessions/events.
• Technical data: the usual data any web service logs (IP address, device/browser type) for security and operation.

• Create and manage your sessions, communities, events and teams.
• Authenticate hosts and protect access to their data.
• Send notifications you request.
• Understand app usage in aggregate to improve it.
• Ensure security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

We use providers that process data on our behalf to run the service:

• Google — indoor host sign-in (Google Sign-In).
• Apple — indoor host sign-in (Sign in with Apple).
• Vercel — web app hosting.
• Render — backend and database hosting.
• Umami — anonymous web analytics.

We only share what is necessary to provide the service.

We store some information locally on your device (for example the Beach host token and preferences) so the app works. We do not use advertising tracking cookies.

We keep data while your account or your sessions/events are active, plus a reasonable additional period to meet legal and security obligations. You can delete your account at any time from the app (see below).

You can delete your account and personal data directly from the app, under Indoor → My Profile → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. You may also access, correct or request deletion of your data, and revoke access for your Google or Apple account, by writing to facundo.finos@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. We will publish the current version on this page with its «last updated» date.
