Double elimination
A loss does not send you home: you drop into the losers’ bracket. Every pair plays at least twice, and the tournament takes about twice as long.
Several categories
Several competitions are played at once: “Men's A”, “Women's A”, “Mixed B”. Each has its own teams, its own draw and its own champion.
